This week's SNO is in support of our sister division, VATPAC, and their Panic Stations: Cairns event.

The goal is to land your aircraft at Cairns (YBCS) as close to 10:30 UTC as possible. Normally the Panic Stations events are held late on a Saturday night NZ time, but due to a public holiday in Australia this weekend, the event overlaps with the SNO and we're excited to be able to join in the action.

New Zealand-departing pilots will want to be leaving Auckland somewhere around 5pm, and for ATC this week, this will be the time to book for. Pilots who can't join the action until later in the evening, might want to consider flying out of one of the Australian airports that are a little closer to Cairns.

Event Times: Sunday 13th June 2010 1700-2230 NZST / 0500-1030 UTC / 1500-2030 AEST

More information is available at the Panic Stations website.
