Glenorchy to Milford Sound

Flight Club - Glenorchy to Milford Sound

This coming Saturday we will leave Glenorchy and navigate through the alps to find our way to Milford Sound.

First we will depart Glenorchy heading northbound while following the Dart River. Then fly west across to the Pyke River and follow it to Lake Gunn. From the lake follow SH94 to Te Anau and Manapouri or just fly direct. Once you finish your touch and go's at both airfields fly heading west over lake Manapouri to Deep Cove. From Deep cove follow the coast line to the north and around to Milford sound for a full stop landing.

This flight will leave us surrounded in some of the best scenery in the country, so don't miss out. Bring your light aircraft or helicopter, out of the hanger to enjoy this spectacular event.
