SNO on a Saturday - Worldflight 2014 Positioning

This week's SNO (Sunday Night Ops) has a twist. It's still SNO but this week it's SATURDAY Night Ops!

On Sunday 2nd November 2014, the 2014 Worldflight event kicks off from Sydney Australia on it's 7-day around the world tour.

For the first time, Worldflight starts and finishes on a weekend (in the past it's been Monday to Sunday NZ Time) so our SNO is also a day early to match.

This gives everyone the chance to position across to Sydney and get a good night's sleep before Worldflight leaves the next morning!

Depart Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch in your favourite aircraft and arrive safely into Sydney so that the engineers can get your ride prepared for some Worldflight sectors.

It's also a chance for pilots to practice their Oceanic reporting: use the Oceanic Reporting Tool to figure out what needs to be in your report.

Flight Routes

  • Auckland to Sydney:
    AA N774 SY

  • Wellington to Sydney:
    WN M636 SY
  • Christchurch to Sydney:
    CH N750 PLUGA M636 SY

Note: There will be NO SNO on Sunday 2 November so that VATSIM members can participate in any Worldflight sectors they would like to join on. Full details for Worldflight at http://www.worldflight.com.au
