A team of Australians & an expat Kiwi (Mark) daparted Sydney a couple of days ago for a 7 day world flight using a smart looking 737 sim located in Tassy....they have a cool web site with a webcam so you can follow there progress.I have completed a few of the legs and full ATC is available,it was interesting flying in Russia with Russian controllers and having to fly a flight levels in meters....I'am using a smart looking Boeing PMDG 737BBJ N90R and the livery is based on the real aircraft,as I found a photo of this Aircraft on this site www.airframes.org,I'am not doing all the legs as you have to sleep sometime!!!!!

As Brian says, I'm currently in Hobart, Tasmania and spending the rest of this week flying the Boeing 737NG full sized simulator for World Flight.

Have a look at http://www.worldflightoz737.org and you can see what I am up to.

If you're free come and join is for a leg or three.

Good to hear Brian's voice this afternoon as I was First Officer on WF716 from Jedda in Saudi Arabia, to Tripoli in Libya as VOZ9303.

Unfortunately, this year, WF does not make it to NZ but fingers crossed we will for next year.

Having a great time in Sydney with the VATPAC boys. Controlling and flying Matt's sim is a blast. Have only slept 12 hours since I arrived here on Monday. Great to see Mark Helyar and Brian Howard flying and also great to see Mark Richards flying into TNCM today. Awesome scenery and great traffic from KMIA. I was FO on QF25 and we had 31 inbounds half way to TNCM with holding points on approach. Stacked and dropped from FL150 to FL070. Our TCAS had 14 planes in the hold at SLUGO and JUICE. Again a spectacular time and hopefully WF will go to NZ next year.

Mark R,

Hope your landings are better than mine. I haven't found the rwy yet. Been landing either too short or on either side of the rwy

Likewise having a great time in Bonnie Scotland with Steve and the crew at WorldFlight Scotland. I've been up most nights till late, currently flying from Aruba to Mexico City and then on to Phoenix.

Steve's sim is an inspiration, it shows just what can be achieved on a tight budget. You don't need megabucks, but you do need help and you certainly need an understanding wife, Janis is a saint.
