VATNZ appoints a new Deputy Division Director

The Board is pleased to announce that Cam Tyson has been appointed as Deputy Division Director.

Cam has a long history of staff involvement across the network, including previous Director roles within VATNZ and VATPAC, as well as time spent as a VATSIM Supervisor. His skillset will be incredibly valuable as we continue to develop and iterate as a Division.

This appointment followed a structured process that we’re working to codify in the forthcoming Divisional Policy, ensuring appointments are fair, well-considered, and in the best interests of the Division.

The Deputy Division Director plays an important role in supporting the Division Director by providing an independent governance perspective, assisting with cross-portfolio work, and acting as an independent escalation point. I’m confident the incoming appointee will be a strong addition to the Board, and I look forward to introducing them once they formally take up the role.
