Once again World Flight has returned to VATNZ airspace. With us having the first four legs, we can expect this to be a very busy visit.
What is World Flight?
World Flight sees 15 teams with fixed based simulators fly 24 hours a day for a week to circumnavigate the world for charity. You can find out more and where to donate here.
Leg 1: YSSY -> NZAA
Leg 1 sees pilots flying between Sydney (YSSY) and Auckland (NZAA) across the "Ditch". Due to the significant traffic expected on the first leg we will also be staffing Ohakea (NZOH) as an alternate in case of a go around.
Pilots
A pilot briefing will be circulated prior to the event. This will contain important information to ensure a smooth running event.

Apply to control during the first leg here. Controller briefing material will be published on the SOPS page prior to the event. A controller briefing will also be held prior to each leg for incoming controllers.
