This week we bring back one of the more scenic flights. The first time we ran this event there was an excellent turnout and this was the first time everyone used the controllers frequency. Lucky voice Unicom will make for some realistic uncontrolled flight up the Coromandel this time!
Flight Time
approximately - 1.5hrs
Route
- Depart North Shore (NZNE) following the East coast, towards Waikeke Island.
- Fly overhead Chamberlins Island before tracking the Coromandel (NZCX)
- Preforming a Touch and Go at Coromandel (NZCX).
- Track the coast north towards Great Barrier (NZGB) for a stop and go.
- Once airborne follow State Highway 25 towards Pauanui Beach (NZUN).
- Preform a full stop landing at Pauanui Beach (NZUN).
If you feel like you cannot follow specific landmarks to each waypoint you may track direct between each airport however most pilots will follow the leader.
