Community Consultation - VATNZ Divisional Policy

VATNZ has opened community consultation on a proposed Divisional Policy (POL-DIV-1), and we're seeking your feedback before it goes to the Board for approval.

The Divisional Policy is the core governance framework for the Division. It formalises how the Board operates, how decisions are made and recorded, how staff are appointed and removed, and how divisional policies are created, consulted on, and reviewed. Much of it reflects how VATNZ already operates; setting it down in policy makes that consistent, transparent, and durable. The intent is a Division that runs well without getting in the way of the people doing the work.

Consultation is open until 27 August 2026.

Feedback submitted through the form is the channel of record. Every submission will be reviewed, and a summary of the feedback received, along with the outcomes, will be published when the final policy is released. You're welcome to submit more than once; short, specific feedback on individual sections is the most useful to us.

Once consultation closes the Board will consider all feedback, make any resulting amendments, and vote on adoption.
